Would you pass?
Twenty multi-choice questions, randomly drawn from a pool of 65 — most people complete it in around 5 minutes. Seventy-five percent to pass, and up to six attempts to clear the bar. These are the same question count, pass mark, and attempt cap ministers have publicly committed to for migrants from late 2027. The official test allows 45 minutes per attempt; the mock has the same timer available but you won't need it. Note: the proposed official test divides the six attempts into two periods separated by at least 30 working days; this mock has no such separation, so all six attempts can be done in one sitting.

Question content is drawn only from topic areas ministers and Internal Affairs have publicly named: the Bill of Rights Act, voting rights, structure of government, human rights, democratic principles, and travel and citizenship. This is not the official test (which does not yet exist) and is not affiliated with any government agency or political party. See what's missing for topics ministers have not named.
